River Raisin Models was formed in 1987 by S scale modelers Jim Kindraka and Dan Navarre. The business was formed with the premise that the pursuit of high quality, precision brass models in S scale would be best served by a couple of S scale modelers whose total focus was on 3/16^ths scale model railroading.

Since our first import in 1988, River Raisin Models has been responsible for over 50 different S scale brass railroad oriented models. We offer the finest brass models available in S scale today and can also aid in your search for that hard-to-find, sold out after market piece. We don't make the most models, but we continually strive to make the best!

About the name, River Raisin Models (before you even ask!)...Dan hails from Monroe, Michigan, home of the famous River Raisin. The French history of southeast Michigan places the word 'river' first. Dan has always liked the name and suggested it after a third round of beer at our first 'Board' meeting...the rest, as they say, is history. Welcome to our website.
